Indoor Shoes for Reception Year

We have just had our teacher's home visit for DD1 and was hoping she would be able to calrify what she would need for her 'indoor shoes.' We were told that as long as they didn't have a back or missing laces any indoor shoes were ok. The school website says that plimsoles all day are not appropriate and should be reserved for PE. DD thinks that slippers are for 'babies' in nursery. MY husband and I are pretty grumpy about purchasing school shoes that'll only get worn for the 50yrs from the car to the school so were thinking of using them as her indoor shoes. Ugh, am overthinking this just a bit!!Blush

I guess I'm overwhelmed as they need in school wellies for rainy days, PE shoes, school shoes and indoor shoes. I've clearly not done this before! Shock

What did you use for indoor shoes in reception? Any help would be appreciated.

Ace will start on tuesday reception yr and will just have a pair of black kickers shoes and a pair of plimsolls from m&s for pe.. nothing else.

dd had plimsolls from clarks for indoor shoes one year as they are sturdier than the cheaper ones. She now has a pair of trainers for indoor use and wears her school shoes during playtime, lunchtime and to and from the car and home/school.
