What can you do to customise a nylon bag/apron.

I thought of iron on letters but surely that's just going to end hideously.

Do fabric pens work on nylon?

Any other ideas?

I bought a silver pen from Staples. It is called a paint pen and has a fine nib. You can use it on any surface. So far I have labelled book bag, lunch bag, metal drinks bottle and shoes...

Add a keyring? Or use a permanent marker pen.

ooh I have a silver pen somewhere.

I just have to find someone who can write neatly!

Go to minilabels.co.uk. They do a range of multip purpose self adhesive labels that are great for labeling school stuff. Even the inside of shoes!
I've bought load of stuff from them and the service has aloways been great. Website a bit naff looking though!

If it's a lightish colour you can just use a Sharpie.

I used big iron-on letters but stitched them as well.

I used a sharpie laundry pen that I got from Smiths and just labelled everything (and I mean everything!) with it.

I googled in my local area, for logo stitching on clothes. For £4.75 I got four overalls labelled with dc name. Also £2 per item got pe kit done the same, as at our schools they need to be labeled on outside.

Bookbag used permanent marker pen.

Laundry marker pen works just fine.

can you sew?

if so, use the narrow zig-zag stitch to write their initials on it.
