School bags

Dd is going into Year 5 in September. She has always used the school book bag for her stuff but says now some of the girls are starting to use school bags rather than a book bag. Also with a pencil case it's a bit of a squeeze to get everything in a book bag.

She likes the flap-over type with a shoulder strap. Does this sound suitable for school and where do I buy such a bag?

Absolutely fine - you can buy them anywhere; TK Maxx, Sainsbury, Clarks, any department store, I even saw some in Rymans the other day, conveniently placed next to matching pencil cases
