Grin Grin

Just as I'm sure I wasn't the only one who thought that was what the other thread was about!

I have a new stage, starting Monday, and have done pretty much NOWT. Torn between pleased and panicked...

Anyone else?!

Lol - I saw hat thread and came to the same conclusion as you!

Am secondary but done no work yet. Nada. Must pull finger out (not back till 1st Sept though)

I'm sitting at the computer meant to be working, preparing stuff for new GCSE course, instead I'm mumsnetting (though having taught media studies in the past I could claim I am researching social networking Grin.

Still, 3 more weeks to waste get stuff done!

Very rarely post these days but had to post on this cos felt comforted to see I am not the only one....not taught KS4 for about 5 years, went into a panic last week and went into school one day to start preparing myself for it...spent most of the time faffing about ...oh hell...

Feenie · 15/08/2010 21:48

Nope. Will go in for a day on Tuesday to clear out my cupboard of doom, then the rest of the summer holiday is for me and my ds, thank you!

Caz10 · 15/08/2010 22:29

No, I've done nothing. Been on maternity leave, so am rusty, teaching a new year group etc. Am going in on Thursday though, so hoping to get lots of gossiping work done with colleagues.

Goblinchild · 16/08/2010 16:28

I've done loads and loads of work.
I've been working from around 6.30 til around 9am, but I've got teenagers so it's peaceful and I've got all the space I want until they surface.
Taught Y5 last year, got Y6 this year but different children and a rolling curriculum so lots of research and the like.
Shame on you all

Grin

I've had a window open for mumsnet at the same time though...

Caz10 · 16/08/2010 22:36

Can I just say, with the wisdom of 1 day back...I wish I'd done a bit more work Blush

havent done much

went in for half a day to clear out cupboard and shed, spent another morning making visual timetables and name labels at home.

I suppose I should look at planning ...

I spent pretty much a week at the beginning of the holiday in school sorting out the Reception Unit - big overhaul, chucking out etc.

However, since then have done bugger all and proud of it! :)

MmeRedWhiteandBlueberry · 17/08/2010 17:42

I bought some books for me to read with a view to improving my teaching :) I managed about 20 minutes, which in truth was to put off doing the ironing.

I do plan on 2 hours a day for the next couple of weeks - starting tomorrow Grin.

I have three schemes of work to write, and I'd also like to make some classroom resources. I'd like to plan my lessons for at least three weeks. :)
