Drawstring PE Kit bags

Does anyone know where I can get one fairly cheaply? Is this still what PE kits go to primary schools in anyway? My DTDs will be starting reception in Sept, and the info from school says that PE kit should be kept in school and taken home occasionally to wash. When I was at school, we all had drawstring pump-bags (mine was made by my mum)Can they be bought? Or will I need to dig out the sewing machine. I've looked in the usual places in town but can find nothing. Don't really want to shell out for a "character" one.

Thanks!

Matalan had plain ones for £1 each last year.

They are pretty easy to make if you have a sewing machine, and may be less likely to fall apart, but if you don't feel like it, I've bought them at Tesco before - in the sports section of one of the big branches. They have basic drawstring gym bags (main drawstring bag plus zipped outer pocket) for less than a fiver in plain colours (pale blue, navy) or sometimes camouflage - that's what DD has at the moment, and it has lasted the whole year, unlike her previous ones...

Ikea have small nylon double-drawstring bags in nice bright colours for £1 (IIRC) - the double strings mean they can be worn like a backpack

Tesco, also around £1.
