DD1 is starting reception in Sept. Uniform states girls have to wear white shorts for PE.

Where the hell do you get them from? M&S don't have any, nor Matalan, Asda etc.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Is there a difference between girls' and boys' shorts at that age?

Matalan ought to do them -- perhaps your branch is rubbish?

John Lewis?

Or here.

I saw some in Sainsbury's (and bought them) suitable for both boys and girls.

Sports shop! You can get some children's football shorts there.
