my ds has always had big play area parties but dont want to do it this year as there are over 30 in his class.

What/where can we go with limited numbers. Also playareas seems a little babyish at this age

For his sixth birthday DS had a go-karting party: we booked with the company and they organised the venue and ran the party - we just had to provide food and party bags.

For his seventh, we had a LaserQuest party which has been really popular this year - DS has been to several more since his own.

He has also been to a Pizza Express party where they made their own pizzas, and a visit to the cinema followed by trip to Pizza Express one. Football parties are very popular, again run by an outside organisation, as are Mad Scientist parties.

HTH!

Oh, and bowling parties go down well, of course. Or you could always take your DS and a couple of his friends to the zoo or one of those children's farms.

DS is 7 in Sept and we have booked a party for 8 friends at the Dr Who exhibition which is near us at the moment.

Last year we had a swimming party, it was good fun but because of the number of kids involved and the fact they couldn't swim well, I had to ask parents to accompany them. We all had fun !

what about cinema ? one of ds's closest friends went to the vue (was at half term so only cost £1 per child). then they went to Pizza hut or some such thing , right next door. they did a set meal thingy, for £3.95.

Each kid for £4.95
Think there were 6.
Party for 6 x 6 yr olds = under £30
Thats good going. was thinking of doing the same meself !!

My DS who is 7 this year wants a football party. He's been to a few in the nearest town - goals centres details here

He went to a LaserQuest one recently and enjoyed it.

Very of the Dr Who exhibition party - DS would love that!

Whereabouts are you? Stage Celebrations will be operating in the Shrewsbury area from September and gives an hour on stage, 'walking through' a favourite story, myth, legend or fable (discussed in detail prior to The Day!) to appropriate music, with themed SFX, soft props & lighting. Birthday Boy (or girl) can bring up to 15 friends for the same price as 5!
