Hello

My 9 year old son (just turned 9) struggles with spelling and I am keen to purchase a childrens dictionary. Can anyone recommend one please ? I need one that isn't to babyish but also one that he can understand.

Thanks

www.amazon.co.uk/Collins-Childrens-Dictionaries-Shorter-Dictionary/dp/0003161595 is my choice of dictionary for this age group. It's the one I use in my classroom (I have a stock of my own).

I've just had to buy this one for DS entering Yr 3.

I like the Usborne Illustrated Dictionary, and for a first dictionary it's hard to beat the Jolly Phonics one.
