Year 6 leavers sadness

Not really a question just thought i would spare a few thoughts for the parents of all the year 6 leavers!! My daughter had her Graduation and prom last night and the whole thing was so emotional for her and her friends and for all the parents. Sooo sad to see them all so upset at the thought of leaving and although its great to see them grow up. we watched slide shows of all the kids from nursery to year 6 and its amazing to see them grow up. They are leaving such security and going into the world of the unknown. I as a parent sobbed and i had a very distressed little girl last night. I am so proud of the person she has become and the acheviments she has had and i hope that she will go onto greatness as we all hope our kids will. So when you have a year 6 leavers presentaion take the tissues in preperation

Just back from mine and I managed not to cry this time. I do, however, feel extremely sad at breaking the contact with the school as we had been there for nine years altogether.

I will miss the school, the teachers and the children and parents too

I will miss it all too, got to start all over again with the teachers and school and alot more teachers now!!! scary lol

Ours today, and I didn't cry (hard person from the North)
I have loved the school and staff, and ds really enjoyed himself (he cried).
Looking forward to the next stage though, and bought scientific calculator, dictionary and sticky backed plastic today

Emotional day here too, dd1 very upset this evening, especially as her best friend has also left the town where we live as well. Overall very sad .
