advice please??????? please....

i dropped my little boy off to school today and another parent said to me,its a shame your boy and my boy are not in the same class come september,i agreed,but then couldnt belive what she said next,that the two were been separated because her boy keeps copying things that my boy is doing,my (my lad is active,hyper,chatty,silly)she said they dont like that her boy is copying my little lad,(both boys are 5)she also mentioned that her boy is copying others an that "she"didnt like that,
do you think i should have a word with the teacher about this?i am very happy with the class and teacher he has been given for september,but feel abit gutted that possibly the teacher spoke about my son like this,and that hes been put down as abit of a nitemare in class,when in fact he was at the start of school,but has really come on since and has settled down.i thought it was all behind me,and could see the lite at the end of the tunnel,but not so sure now!!in fact im feeling quite paranoid about the whole thing now!!

They won't have moved your child on the say so of another mum and your child sounds like a normal 5 year old, not a nightmare at all.

You could ask the teacher why the class are not moving up together and is there a problem you need to be aware of.

When my son was in year 2 they split the classes when moved into year 3. I asked that a child not be put with mine as they had been bullying my son but the teachers had already decided to mix up the classes as they weren't working well.

My dd is just finishing year 2 and all the class are staying together for year 3, as are my son's reception to year 1 class.

Just have a quick quiet word with the teacher - ask if there's anything you should be worried about. It does sound like the other mother is talking out of her arse - she may well have said to the teacher that she didn't want her DS with yours for whatever reason, but if there were serious problems I'm sure you'd have been told.

Teachers often split certain kids up because they wind each other up or don't get on or just a clash of personalities - it happens a lot, so don't worry

i think that this parent is pushing your buttons. Seriously, what is her motivation for starting this conversation with you and then telling you that she asked for the boys to be separated? That sounds at best immature and at worst quite spiteful.

teachers are often asked to split up children by parents in my experience. I only ever asked once and that was because my dd and her best friend spent lots of time together outside school as her mum was also dd childminder- it seemed too much.

the teacher will not have split them up because of what the other mum said- no doubt the teachers got together to get groups of children that are balanced and work well together. If you are happy with the teacher for your son next year, I would leave well alone.

i wonder how long it will be before this women has a problem with the boys in the class next year?

since my lad has started school ive only got to know 2 parents threw choice,and one of them is this lady,i know her little lad has lots of problems and needs one 2 one almost all day,when i was having problems with my lad she spoke to me lots,i also know that she has fallen out with two other parents at the school,for what reason,i dont know..she has also said the teacher picks on my boy over nothing sometimes,(she helps out in the class)so i dont want to be getting her in any trouble,but its really bothering me what she said.i know she has spoke out of turn and i think she knows she has too... i think ill have to have a quite word with the teacher.as this will get into a bigger problem in my head if not.

well,had a word and the teacher was great! she assured me that my lad was doing fine.and this lady has been causing alittle trouble and to ignore anything she says,which is what i will do.
ahhh alittle more relaxed now.
