national statistics for Key Stage 1 SATs online?

Does anyone know where i can find these scores online?

DD did well and I am very happy with her report. I just would like to know where she sits nationally. If anything some of her scores surprised my by being higher than what I expected. It sort of has me thinking that these tests are really easy and I wonder if everyone gets high scores.

Strix, we are talking about the same thing, but some parents still think that the Y2 scores are purely SAT scores, and refer to them as such, but they have been teacher assessments (collated using lots of evidence, including the SATs) since 2005. Rollacoaster was just making the distinction.

Violetbloom, those are the only marks you should have received. But you should have received comparison data too.

No, I didn't get any comparison data. How could I find that out?

I posted national comparison data in the second post on this thread.

You could try asking the school why they haven't provided information about school results for comparison.

I asked the Head today about if we were going to get a breakdown of results for the year 2 KS1 assessments and he said he was under no obligation to do so and the requirement had changed 3-4 years ago. I guess it doesn't really matter so I won't pursue further but you would think Heads would know about this kind of stuff.

Feenie · 20/07/2010 18:11

Wouldn't you! I would download this year's document and show him.

For national stats I got the 2009 set, same as linked in second post on this thread by Feenie. I notice our school results are much higher than the national ones. I'm generally happy with the school, but it does make me wonder about the quality of schools nationally.
