Y6 Parting Shot: The final bleddy 'Dress-up As...' Day...

I am impressed how they got this one in under the radar. DS1 has precisely 8 days left of his primary education. They have, as expected, Leavers Assembly next Tuesday, followed by a family BBQ. And guess what? They have to go in 60's, 70's or 80's gear.

Why, why, why? And, of course, their costumes have allegedly to be in school this Friday. What? And again, why?!

We have done Roman, Greek, Tudor, Evacuee, fancy dress Fun Run x4, Knight, Victorian and at least 7 Book weeks.

COULD they not have shown some mercy THIS close to The End?!

I am thinking of striking a deal: My DS will turn up on the day, correctly attired and with Lines Learned IF they will produce his damned KS2 SATS results!

Love it!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/07/2010 18:09

Actually WE had to do this too and DS took loads of gel and did a Mohawk and wore skinny black jeans and a black t shirt. Punk's easy!

nNd they have only just told you?!

LimaCharlie · 13/07/2010 18:10

OMG I feel your pain - this last month we've had dress as WW2 evacuee day, summer play - chitty chitty bang bang and then leavers disco school prom.
