Can anyone in the West Wimbledon area give me some help?
Our child is being bullied at school and is lashing out. Unfortunatelly the school see our child as the protagonist rather than the victim. Our child is verbally dyspraxic and slowly improving with speech therapy but enough is enough...we desperatelly need to move him. What do you say to your child when they tell, 'I don't like it when they pull me to the floor by my hair...it's a new thing but I'm used to being punched and kicked.'
We're looking for a local school that will understand his needs and not tolerate repetitive bullying. I realise bullying happens everywhere i.e. schools, colleges and the workplace but when I'm told that my child is exagerating, I think enough is enough.
The Headteacher is fed-up with us as parents and our main priority is to get our child into another school, he's become anxious and jumpy. Once he is safely out of the way we will then consider what to do about the problem school.
I would really appeciate some honest advise about local schools in the West Wimbledon area, their teaching standards and ethos, how they deal with bulling and special needs or your experiences! Help!
