How much are school dinners in your DC's school and where (roughly) do you live?

We're in York and they are £2.15 a day.

Have recently moved from Bedfordshire where there were £1.75 a day (I think - have forgotten exactly ) and it seems quite a difference.

Oxfordshire £2 a day going up to £2.05 in September. Very good value IMO and can pick and choose on a daily basis no need for advance notice

I still wonder why such differences. We are only a few miles from East Yorkshire - I can't help wondering what the 80p difference gets.

DS has packed lunches at the moment so I don't know what the school dinners are like - maybe they are extra good . Although I hope Pixie's are very good - I hadn't realised independent schools charged that much, although I did know that school dinners are quite often compulsory.

Price varies for dd as she is at High School and can buy all manner of things.
