What activity for 11yo girl

We are struggling to find an activity my dd can do on a weekly basis. She has already had swimming lessons and now she has got an acceptable level she's not keen to continue. She tried brownies but doesn't like it.

She loves to be outdoors and likes PE at school. She wants to learn to skateboard but we can't find any classes nearby and she's mentioned trampolining but the classes don't fit with our work hours. She also likes drama but I can't find an affordable class and she's not into musical theatre. She likes running but I don't think she'd be fast enough for a club and not sure they take people who just want to do it for fun???

So far she's ruled out:
Football
Horse riding
Basketball
Martial arts
Any musical instrument

Can anyone help??

Any cheer leading groups nearby?

How about hockey?

Junior Park Run
Any type of dancing
Tennis

Gymnastics

If she likes skateboarding maybe try scooter? You can take her to skateparks (with safety protection) it’s easier than skate boarding to start off with. How about roller disco? We have a few round here, or ice hockey if there’s a rink nearby?

They have snowboarding and skiing beginners groups as well if you have a slope near you.

Scouts?
Watersports like canoeing?

Tennis, after the recent US open loads of girls have taken up tennis,

Guides. They move up at 11. Park Run a 5k loop. A run not a race. All welcome and all over the country. You could do it together.

Cricket - tricky at this time of year but there may be indoor classes. Honestly it's a brilliant game and there are so many different skills involved. The coaching is all very based around enjoying it and there are no "player of the week" type things. Everyone gets praised. My son's u11 team is about half girls and the best wicket keepers are girls, they are fearless. It's a great game all round.

Roller derby, she’ll feel strong and awesome.

Great suggestions I will run by her in the morning. Didn't know she could do park run, thought it was just adults.

Our local roller disco closed because of Covid and hasn't reopened yet which is a shame.

Netball. Once she knows how to play, it'll set her up throughout her life as she move around and can join clubs for some instant friends.

Clay pigeon shooting is lots of fun

Is there an athletics club near you...then she could try both track and field

DD has taught herself skateboarding from YouTube. She also goes to an indoor skatepark where they have a regular girls only night. Some of the women abs girls there have been very supportive abs have taught her new tricks.

I'd also look at Scouts and Hockey.

Our school do an array of after school activities every day. My dd aged 11 12 soon has started science club. She does swimming lessons stage 8 as well. We tried the competitive swimming and she didn't like it

She's on a waiting list for a rock climbing centre and I've messaged a cheerleading group though I need to chase that up. Thank you for all the suggestions.

DD has done Beavers, Cubs & is now a Scout.
