Quiet 11 year old become hyper and emotional

I’m concerned my son who’s 11 has completely changed personality it seems he’s much more hyper and aggressive but seems more needy too?! What’s going on I’m worried?

Sounds like he's prepubescent!

Thanks, my older son was nothing like this. My son says he doesn’t know why he’s like this and is scared as he lashes out verbally and physically sometimes smashing things and pushing boundaries as to how close he can get to hitting me.

Could it be pent up energy from the lockdown? Is he getting out for daily exercise x
