Period Pants for Teens

My DD started her first period yesterday age 10, she was really upset and shocked, worries than she won't be able to go swimming/dancing etc.
We have explained about using tampons for swimming and I will get her some to practice with.
Obviously this is all new, putting on pads etc and she leaked a couple of times yesterday, so although she isn't at school at the moment, i thought about getting her some leak proof pants for when she is there, does anyone know anywhere that does them for young girls as they all seem to be aimed at women!

Ruby Love swimwear has been and is great

Are they multiple use codes? No desire to deprive fink!

Is the sizing accurate? I think I might have to get dd the adult version. She's taller than me for a start!

SoupDragon · 17/06/2020 17:33

DD said the Red came up small - I measured her and bought according to the specific Red size chart which isn't the same as the adult one.

The codes are referral codes. I don't remember a limit being specified. You maybe have to retrieve another code from the website though.

SoupDragon · 17/06/2020 17:34

I don't want to give another one from my account as I have no use for the referral bonus!

Aginplease · 17/06/2020 18:00

I signed upto the emails and it gave me a discount code off my first purchase .

Looks like you can't get discount form bundles anyway and dd's size is out of stock atm.

Xiomara22 · 17/06/2020 19:15

I got mine from cheeky wipes, not sure if they do kids sizes. But I do highly recommend them and they've been a life changer for me being in an active job.

IndieTara · 18/06/2020 09:24

Modibodi red sizing is by age, whereas the normal range is by size.

Fink · 18/06/2020 09:50

Feel free to use the code if you want ShowOfHands, if you get the size in stock. Even if it's single use and it means I can't use it, I see that I can get a 10% student discount anyway so I wouldn't be missing out on much. And having seen SoupDragon's point about sizing, I'm definitely going to start with only the one pair to see how they come up on DD.

Fink · 18/06/2020 09:53

@IndieTara the ages are linked to measurements though. If you click on the sizing guide then it gives you the waist and hip for the age. As it happens, DD is measuring exactly the age that she really is (and she usually has to wear 1-2 years bigger in most clothes), but if they generally come up small then I want to try the one pair before making a big purchase.

IndieTara · 18/06/2020 10:09

@fink yes I saw. DD is 11 but tall and in age 13 clothes so I bought one of each style in 12-14. Fingers crossed!

Aginplease · 22/06/2020 20:32

For anyone that's interested, we have used the swimming bottoms the last two days and they are brilliant, my DD has worn them for about 4 hours at a time, no leaks, it's great to see her having fun in the pool
