Any words of wisdom for supporting my son who is very hormonal. He goes from being very excitable to very cross and very sad. He's aware of his body more. He seems to want to be close to us at points and feels sad but doesn't really know why
Thanks

No words of wisdom but will handhold as I am going through similar with my youngest who is 11 and I was not expecting it to be so intense Confused

Yes intense is definitely the word!

I think just carry on pretty much as you are doing. Give him plenty of love and reassurance, it’s a difficult time, for them and you Thanks

Just roll with it, lots of consistency, and cuddles when he asks. It's the flipping between being grown up, and then back to bring a child that I found tricky/fun.

Lots of distraction is good too. Sport, music, whatever that takes their mind off things.
