Warm winter footwear for ds11

We are heading to NY in December and need to buy some warm footwear for ds. So far I have not managed to find anything that he will agree to wear. Just wondered if anyone had any good suggestions.

I could also do with suggestions on warm trousers. He only really wears skinny jeans though he does have some tracksuit bottoms. On my other thread posters suggested he wore tights under his jeans which did not go down well! Anyone have any ideas?

He loves the joggers thank you. Sadly his feet are too big for the shoes but I will keep looking along those lines.

These were originally sold for men and women... still some sizes left. I have them and they are very warm!

We went to NY in the February when DS1 was 11 (it was absolutely freezing and snowing!) and he wore timberland boots with thick socks.

We all wear proper hiking boots in winter as footwear when it snows but we have these ones anyway.

We just went yesterday to Decalthon, they have lots of decently priced snowboots, maybe that is a solution.

He will need warm footwear, trainers are a no-go in NY.
