Ahhhh bullying where to start

So DS age 10 has told his grandma he is getting emotionally bullied by classmates. They pick on him as he's slightly overweight (but have seen GP who says they are happy he's following centiles) they say he has no friends, laugh at him because he's lonely. F*cking heartbreaking.
So have contacted the school, they seem to think it's boys banter. Please advise me what I can do. He won't talk to me about it as he doesn't want me to worry, and he won't speak with the teachers.

So sorry this is happening to your ds, and yes it is bullying. The school can call it what they like but they know damn well it’s bullying they just can’t be arsed to deal with it. Get hold of the school’s anti bullying policy, and quote it to them. Tell them you aren’t going to be fobbed off.

Exactly what I was going to say, and definitely don’t be fobbed off. If they won’t listen, write to the head with your concerns that bullying is getting dismissed as “banter” and ask for a written reply within 7 days.

Get him into martial arts, ive recommended this over and over again..not to be a violent thug but to gain confidence so when a bully says anything it won’t affect him because deep down he knows he’d kick the bullies backside.

My own nieces were bullied and they started tae Kwon do and they went from shy to confident gaining lots of friends.
he won’t talk as for some reasons boys are taught to be strong and not to get upset or talk about their feelings so it’s eating him up inside so if school don’t do anything go further to the school board.
