Hairy arms in 8yr old dd

My 8yr old dd (yr3) has v dark hair on her arms which she is v self conscious about and other kids are commenting on. It's ok in summer as it goes fair in the sun but this is the third winter now and it's really bothering her. In previous years we have done the whole everyone is different etc but now I am at a point of considering letting her do something about it. We've talked about different options and I guess my preference would be waxing or hair removal cream but don't know if these are feasible for an 8yr old. It feels so young! She is pale skinned and I have v sparse fair hair on my arms so rather clueless. Anyone else out there with this issue? All views welcomed! Thanks

If it were me, I would look at a gentle bleach rather than removal. Removing it can sometimes make regeowth come back thicker and courser than before.

I had friends at school who shaved theirs as they were paranoid about having dark, hairy arms and they still have to shave them now to keep up with the regrowth! It’s good you are looking out for your DD so she doesn’t have to take drastic action on her own.

Yes, try to avoid shaving. I started shaving mine at about 13 and still have to shave them now, and there's stubble every day. I'm fair-haired, but people did comment on how hairy my arms were when I was younger.

don't take it off. Then she'll have awful stubble to deal with. Just bleach it.

Thank you. Any gentle bleaching suggestions?

Id just do it with jolen but use slightly less of the powder and also mix in a little water so that you can get the cream to spread further.

I bleached my arms from about age 11 and I still do during for special occasions during the winter if they're showing a lot.

Definitely bleach rather than remove which will cause loads of problems for her.

I wouldnt bleach them,
I would remove it personally.

I've had hairy arms from a similar age and used to bleach them at school occasionally. Now I'm in my 30s I don't bother but I remember being so embarrassed about them when I was 10-17 years old! I feel for her. Hope you find something that works!

Not bleach them at school... bleach when I was school age I meant! I'm still waking up...!

bleach is temporary and will be a quick and easy fix. Any form of removal will mean she has stubbly arms. That would be awful.
