App advice for 11yo just started periods

Any tips for a good period app so DD can make sure she's got all her kit each month? All the recording apps she has found seem to relate to ovulation and conception so NOT what we are after! I'm also surprised by how heavy her first period is - extra load of washing req (sorry TMI!) - is this "normal"?

Dressinggown - how frightening... a really useful watch-out. Thanks!

Can get girls size black pants from m and co on line - they are normally in a set but could get a couple sets

DD is 14.5 and been having regular periods for a year, she wasn't regular first few months. Had a couple and then nothing for 3 months. She uses Always purple ones with wings. I've just given her some liners for the end as she was using pads all through. She's slight and wears size 8 adult m&s knickers, but they do size 6 too. Can def get in store. What my try tampons for holidays which was a pain but that's up to her. As long as she has a supply of pads and some 'period' undies then it's fine. Sometimes DD leaks but usually just on undies or pjs and it comes out in wash.

Just a quick point about black knickers.

My dds hate wearing dark coloured knickers, they wear their normal knickers when they have a period and if they get stained they get washed. The stains don't always come out but they're not bothered - they're clean and non-one's going to see them! You don't have to throw stained knickers away.
