Fitted vest top for 11yr old dd

My dd is very slim but quite "booby " Smile She has always insisted on sleeping in her bras but I'd prefer her not to as obviously as she gets older, bras will get more structured and less comfortable! Suggested a fitted vest instead and now she's revealed that she doesn't like her nippless showing through!
So I need to track down those vest tops with that extra layer around the boob area.
Any recommendations for where I can get those but in a very small size? I doubt that she's even a size 6 yet....

I don't see a problem with sleeping in a soft bra if she wants. Bras don't have to get more structured. A friend of mine wore crop top style stretchy cotton bras right up to 6th form despite big boobs, for all I know she still does. You can buy soft bras in adult sizes so let her carry on if she's happy.

Would she be better off in the softer sleep bras under pjs, assuming she wears pjs over the top of her bras in bed currently? You know like the ones teens wear before proper bras, I think sloggi do sleep bras like them but just for sleeping in I'd be inclined to look for something a bit cheaper if it's just to save her being self conscious in her pjs.

Great minds ......

M&S do pj vest tops with 'hidden support' which I am a great fan of going down to size 6.

Dotty342kids · 06/11/2016 23:16

That's exactly what we've gone for lonecat and she's happy with those Smile

For a cheaper option Primark also go down to a 6. My 11yo has several things from there.

I sleep in a bra. I find it more comfortable. My mother always told me I needed to take it off for comfort too but I genuinely find it more comfortable. Maybe she does too. Have you come across something that there are concerns about this I would be genuinely interested in reading something. I just thought it was personal preference.

Dd aged 15 likes to sleep in sports bra style crop tops.

My2centsworth, not seen any "evidence" as such, I suppose I just don't like the thought of her always encasing herself in a really fitted garment - I think skin needs time to breathe Smile. The vest tops are still quite fitted but at least they're not the same thing she's spent all day in and are a bit less constrictive.
