Ideas for birthday presents for 11 year old DD

Soon to be 11 year old DD will not give any clues as to what she would like for her birthday. I'm happy to give her money, but would like some little bits to unwrap.
She doesn't play with toys now. She isn't interested in make-up, although was given some last year. Little interest in clothes, yet has to be the right thing!
She likes playing sims 4 and minecraft on the PC. She has a hudl and an old iPod touch.
She isn't in to music, she doesn't spend much time in her room.
I'm stumped!

Dd is turning 10.

I have got her dance items, hunger games tshirt, hair bow, swimsuit, fins and a book.

TeenAndTween · 08/09/2015 16:36

My soon to be 11yo has the following on her list:

Earrings
Cuddly toy
Craft / Science kit
Nail varnish / Body spray / Bubble bath
DVDs
Books
Chocolate / Sweets

Also our go-to when stumped for a main present it an Experience voucher - keeper for a day, ride in speedboat, ...

wonderpants · 08/09/2015 16:39

Ooooh hunger games t-shirt might be good as she has read the books over the summer!
The rest of the stuff she isn't interested in! She is so difficult (just like her mother!)

Take her for a birthday date, lunch, cinema/bowling/ice skating, whatever she likes, give her cash in a purse to spend on whatever she wants. My DD is 11 too and we've done this for the last couple of birthdays. She loves the time with us without her younger sister tagging along and we let her decide what to buy even though it may not be our choice its the one day she can have all the say in what she buys. I actually prefer that than buying various things she doesnt particularly want or need.

wonderpants · 08/09/2015 18:09

That is also a good idea!
She is just a kid that really doesn't want much!

My dd is almost 12 and has similar interests to your girl. She's asked for a 3d pen and some money to put towards a video capture device for her xbox.

Heathcliff27 · 08/09/2015 18:38

I feel your pain, other girls her age that we know have planned birthday and xmas presents months in advance. Mine either wants nothing at all or something extreme like a laptop Shock. She won't be getting the laptop btw.

I forgot as well as the trampoline she's got a hamster. It's in the shed ready to bring out Friday morning!
Can't wait to see her face!

wonderpants · 09/09/2015 16:14

Arrggghh at hamster! We did fish a couple of years ago, the novelty wore off very quick!
Glad it isn't just mine!

About 10 years ago I got annoyed by my sister saying "surprise me" when I asked what she wanted. That year I got her a box of cheese. She has always been good about providing a list of things since!

dizzyday07 · 11/09/2015 02:35

DD will turn 11 next week. She has developed a love of netball at school so we have got her a net to practice at home. As she is also a competitive swimmer we have splashed out on a pricey pair of goggles as gala season starts now!

angelcake20 · 14/09/2015 00:53

DD is turning 11 month and insists there is nothing she wants apart from a renewal of her WWF animal sponsorship. We've been stumped with her since she turned 3 and she and DS (turning 13) often have shared presents, eg basketball net, science and electronics kits. We're getting them a Raspberry Pi this year as they love programming and will take them to Go Ape but other than that it will just been a pile of books as usual. They'd love their own iPads but it's not happening. Absolutely no interest in clothes, makeup, toiletries, music or anything else that her peers are into.

babyiwantabump · 14/09/2015 01:06

My DD is 11 this month she is getting

A blender
A chocolate fondue set
A ido3d drawing pen
Some adult colouring books
A new bike as she has out grown her old one .

She asked for the blender (to make milkshakes) everything else is a surprise.

DD and her friends seem rather obsessed with Adventure Time at the moment - there are all sorts of products from phone cases to stationery and T-shirts.

In fact all things stationery are popular - have a look at Smiggle.

And Pucker Pops go down a storm too.

smileymam · 14/09/2015 09:22

My daughter has just turned 11 she got
Some lush bath bombs and a few other things from there
Jack wills hoodie (only thing she actually asked for)
A gift bag with impulse sprays and hair accessories
Two books
And a charm for her nomination braclet
She was over the moon with it all
Hope this helps

WhatAHooHa · 14/09/2015 09:26

Last year our 12 yr old was really pleased with massive fleecy pjs and dressing gown, thick snuggly blanket, posters, trainers, hoodies, body sprays, and stationery.

SavoyCabbage · 14/09/2015 09:33

On my dd's list is

Djeco craft sets
Inksense pencils
Magna pens
Magna drawing books
A furby

Keeptrudging · 14/09/2015 09:38

DD is getting a bluetooth speaker, subscription to amazon music and a big fluffy blanket/wrap. She's another "I've got everything I need" person. Very unlike her brother, who always had an extensive list!

Vernonon · 14/09/2015 10:02

Fujifilm Instax camera - Polaroid camera - is most desired gift for dd and friends at the moment

BeeBawBabbity · 18/09/2015 14:57

My just turned 11 year old had

Hamper of American candy
Zoella bath products/toiletry bag
Socks
A couple of girly quiz type books
Some Pop figures from the Disney store

Things she currently loves

Roller skates
Phone cases
Pjs
Fluffy soft blanket for lounging on the sofa

anotherbusymum14 · 08/10/2015 13:10
