as the title says - I need a film suggestion for a all girl sleepover film night? My mind is blank!

Mean Girls?

cdtaylornats · 23/02/2015 12:25

Malificent

Or something old - say 60s/70s to avoid films some might have seen. Love Bug or similar

feetheart · 23/02/2015 12:27

Have just done a 12 yr old girl's sleepover - Despicable Me worked well even though they had all seen it before. Can't beat minions :o

Floralnomad · 23/02/2015 12:27

Princess Bride or Freaky Friday ( Lindsay Lohan version) .

NimpyWWindowmash · 23/02/2015 12:29

Princess Bride is fun!
Bill and Ted's excellent adventure
(my 10 and 12 yr old enjoyed these)
ET (there will be tears though)

Jinglebellsarenearlyhere · 23/02/2015 13:05

All brilliant suggestions - may get a few of them in! Thanks all.

Mean Girls
Mean Girls 2
The Parent Trap (either old or new version)
The Princess Diaries 1 or 2

DD had a girlie movie marathon with two of her friends over a weekend and these are the films she wtached;

~ Mean Girls
~ Clueless
~ The Notebook (so many tears afterwards)
~ Wild Child
~ Love, Actually
~ Valentine's Day

TabbyNicki · 23/02/2015 18:34

Pitch perfect

Bohemond · 23/02/2015 18:37

Agree pitch perfect

Dancergirl · 24/02/2015 09:05

Love actually is a 15, probably wouldn't go down too well with parents.

emkana · 24/02/2015 17:19

The scenes with Martin Freeman as a stand in for a porn film might not be that child suitable Confused

Loveleopardprint · 24/02/2015 17:48

The Notebook is probably not appropriate either for 12yr olds.

zippey · 24/02/2015 17:52

Pitch perfect
Mamma Mia
Case 39 (horror)
The hole (horror)

heymammy · 25/02/2015 16:36

Pitch Perfect, 11yr old dd and all her friends LOVE it!

exexpat · 25/02/2015 16:38

School of Rock

Walkingonsunshine00 · 25/02/2015 17:47

Angus thongs and perfect snogging Grin its a 12 but nothing too serious

SWStressed · 27/02/2015 16:37

Woman in black with duvets downstairs and no lights. It's a 12 but they will all enjoy screaming hysterically

pineapplechick · 10/03/2015 17:10

Princess Bride, Willow, Stardust!

jaykay34 · 20/03/2015 13:58

I agree with Woman in Black, or "The fault in our stars" or "Hunger Games" are popular with my DD and her friends in Year 7.

momb · 20/03/2015 14:06

Woman in Black? for a sleepover? Are your preteens made of steel?

Even the cast said it wasn't suitable for 123 year olds and that it only got the 12 rating because they toned down some of the more graphic yet less terrifying bits so the HP fans could get in! You'll end up phoning the parents to collect at 2am!

11YO: mama mia, 'normal' romcons, HP, High School Musical, Camp Rock, YY Willow! Pitch Perfect, Charlie and Chocolate factory. Nothing too heavy, nothing too dark, nothing too scarey.

When's the sleepover? Bill comes out at the end of the month so you could possibly get an American DVD by the end of April?

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 20/03/2015 14:18

Freaky Friday
