Bursted ear drum! 13 year old severe pain

13 year old sister is staying with us for a couple of years for family issues. Took her to the doctor she had a bursted eardrum, but it has been a whole week and in this week it consists of crying non stop, ache Ing, so much drainage! I am so worried ! Should I take her to an ear nose throat specialist? I mean I asked her to rate the pain on a scale of 1-10 and she said when the pain hits it's 8-9 ! Anything helps girls!

Yes go back to the Dr, has she had antibiotics?

What painkillers are you giving her, she can take paracetamol and ibrufen, Gp might give something stronger as well if that isn't enough.

my DD has had this for 4 days and only started to get better after antibiotics. Doc said to alternate calpol and nurofen and it was ok to keep doing this for a week. Earache is so horrible! We also used a microwave heated toy for her to rest her head on - this helped. Go back to GP.. hope she feels better soon..
