Birthday party - do I let dd choose who to invite?

Dd will be 12 soon. She wants a paint your own pottery party.
Over the course of the year she's made new friends, been dropped by old ones and become less close to others.
She doesn't want to invite a girl she was previously friendly with but is now less so. She sits by the girl on the bus every day though. That's the only time they see each other.

God yes it's her choice. She will face the fall-out if she snubs someone. It's part of growing up. You can advise her if you think it's unwise choice, but she has final say.
