Morning - have just got letter saying my DD hasnt succeeded in getting 1st or 2nd choice at Nursery - obvs I am very despondant. She is appara on both waiting lists - tbh the second choice is too far away really but the first choice is the nearest to me (bar the local faith school which isnt an option for me). There are no other schools near - I do not drive and work from home etc etc.
Any tips or advice of what I should do? Is there ANYTHING I can do to find out how big the waiting list is? Or cheeky tips on getting a better chance of finally securing a place? This is my first (and only) child and Im a bit bemused by the whole education admission system etc. She COULD stay at her (very nice) playgroup but she already is the eldest there (she is 4 in Oct) and finds it "full of babies" as it is and I feel if she stayed there it would 'hold her back'.
