How much do you pay?

Our pre-school is refusing to tell us how much it is per session, only per month.

I've worked it out to be £8.79 per 2.5 hour session. Is this about right?

Thanks lou...do you have a reference for this code? I have read my local authority guidelines and this paragraph is not in it.

There is a hyperlink in my post KT12, just click HERE and you will see that you can download it as a PDF or a Word Document.

Ours is £9 per 3 hour session for those who pay (from 2 years 9 months until term after 3rd birthday). 3 hour sessions. May well go up next term though.
Extra £3 for lunch club (a further hour).

Cantsleepwontsleep - personally I don't have a problem paying a bit extra for an excellent service. What I object to is that the day rate for children not yet receiving the free entitlement was recently increased from £35.00 to £38.50 per day - this includes lunch - a fair increase. For those of us receiving the free entitlement, we are charged an hourly rate which was increased from £4.00 to £5.00 and we are now charged £1.50 for lunch - a 30% + increase - hardly equitable and as a result the free entitlement makes nearly no difference.

Thanks for the link lou.

Thanks for all your posts, seen them till just as I've been offline for a a couple of days.

Just for reference, the pre-school DD attends is private, it used to be parent led but the current owener decided to buy it.

And no its not excellent. DD starts at 12.30 pm and the TV is often on . The other week I dropped her off and the children were having a story on cd while the staff just stood around.

runoutofideas, our children go to the same pre school. I would be interested in hearing from you as I have the same gripes and have written a letter of complaint and asked for them to organise a meeting to discuss the changes they have made without our consent
