sponsorship etiquette

DD has come home with a sponsorship form for a welly wang with proceeds going to her playschool (which is a charity). It says 'amount per foot', assuming she will throw it a max per foot, how much should I (and relatives) give? Don't want to be mean, but don't want to go overboard either.

I never bother with the per amount business I just put down a total of say £5 whatever the distance.

so you reckon £5 total is fine?
