DS1 has 5 x sessions using his funded place, All day Mondays and Weds and Tues PM, Next week I am told I'll lose 2 sessions as it's BH, I wondered if this was true? But the funded children that will lose Thursdays sessions due to the hall being closed due to voting will get to swap the sessions.

If it is, fair enough, but I feel abit as if I'd had different days (i.e not Mondays) I'd still get my 12.5 hours for the week.

But it's the same when terms finish mid-week, isn't it? If the last day of term is a Wednesday then Thursday & Friday children lose a session.

The likelihood is that your preschool will not receive funding from the local authority for bank holidays (this is definitely how it works with my LA).

I see your point, but I don't think it's worth getting upset about.

No it's fine, I can see the point, I just hate missing out

I'm not really that bothered I just wanted to see if the Pre School superviser was right, seems she is

we lose next monday, tuesday and thursday sessions as ds's nursery is attached to the school and it is being used on polling day

In my area I'm pretty sure that the funding takes this into account. The payments are calculated for the number of days the school is open each term and that's what is funded so bank holidays sort themselves out. You are right that if you choose a Monday you get less funded days.
The general election is a one off, I guess you just have to put up with that one.
