I was going to say

Petition
Contact MP
Go to the press

But having googled I see you have done all that already

I don't know what else to suggest

can you write to any local big employers asking them for donations / sponsorship?

We got 5 computers last year thanks to donations from a local employer.

sorry - didn't read your OP closely enough, I thought you were looking for funds to improve the building rather than commitment from the council. Apologies - will try to think of a better idea

Our preschool also has no hot water

There isn't always a lot you can do

Keep pressuring but money is short, unfortunately

Can you find alternative buildings? e.g. hire a local hall?

I dont see the need to make the coucil s problem the schools problem, shortage of money, then why offer schools in more "yuppy" areas when they did`nt even need it!
moving small children around esp.this great weather?
tks for the suggestions,at least someone is listening!
