Preschool and childcare?

Hi Folks,
Been wracking my brain on this one and still stuck as the best way to go about. We live in East Belfast and have two lovely sons. DS1 is 3 in mid January. DS2 was one a month ago. DS1 is to go to Preschool in the autumn. I work 4 days a week (from January) and the boys go to a childminder. I don't drive and although my DH does his job means that he could be anywhere any morning so won't be able to drop the kids off so I will have to do it either on foot or using the bus.
Childminder may or may not do the pick up but probably not.
What do other people do??? Off to see two chosen schools next week and will pick then.
HELP!!!
Thanks,
DingbatsFur

Choose the school which has the best before/after school care, or is most convenient for travelling/walking.

Can you tweak your start/finish times at work?

Sorry have re-read and realise you are asking about pre-school not primary school

I take it you mean a short-session pre school not an all day nursery?

The childminders hours will be more flexible than the pre-school. Is there room for negotiation on the picking up or is it the inconvenience for her other mindees?
