My 3.5 yr old DD attends part time nursery attached to local primary school 5 days a week. She is very happy there and is a confident child.
However, she often talks of one little girl who she says is 'cross' with her all the time. There have been incidents where she's called her names (silly poo) and not letting her join in etc etc. Then earlier this week, my DD described eloquently an incident where this little girl had dropped her coat and when my DD asked if she needed any help, the girl turned around and slapped her twice on each hand.
Now, I realise that little girls especially are friends one day and not the next and I'm not concerned about general playground tittle tattle. However, I witnessed this little girl's behaviour at a party recently and she kept making a beeline for my DD and whacking her across the head with a balloon, and she just had a look of vitriol about her when she did it.
Should I have a word with the teacher? I'm new to all this and don't want to come across as a precious mum, then again, if this escalates, I'd kick myself at not mentioning it. what do you think?
