Is it true that the free Early Years Education provision of 12.5hrs can only be spread across 5 days a week?

Or is this changing? There's nothing on the Surestart or direct.gov websites that clarifies the position, and all I've heard is rather muddied hearsay.

We previously worked 9.00 - 11.30 and 12.45 - 3.15 (school hours) so have added half a hour to each session. We have employed someone to come into school at lunchtime to clean up and set up for the afternoon session so staff still get a reasonable lunch break but going to the loo is awkward .
We still attend all school meetings and training. It does mean we work more hours a day than staff in other key stages though.
