Complaints procedure under EYFS, need to re-do ours can anyone help?

Just been checking our pre-school noticeboard and the old Chairman signed the old complaints procedure back in Dec 07 so of course now it needs updating!
Can anyone else who works on a committee give me an idea of how to word a new one so that it fits in with EYFS.
Also as a childminder i have to state that i have to reply to any complaints within 28days and within 20days for the early years register which would apply to under 5yr olds anyway.
Any suggestions please!

What policies do you use at the moment, PSLA ones or do you write your own? PSLA have just updated all their policies to bring them in-line with the new EYFS. They are available on-line to buy and you just adapt them to fit in with your setting. There have been quite a few changes. It might be worth looking at all your pre-school policies to see what needs updating. If you need any help, please let me know as I'm in the middle of doing ours at the moment.

Thanks for replying. Our previous chairman wrote his own and we are in the process of getting ALL the policies re-done (big job) as the previous chairman basically did nothing with them for 5yrs!
Never reviewed them with the committee in the past.

Hi, yes moonphasewitch - that's the way we're going. Have bought the P & P book from PLA and have access to online versions too, so we just add logo and it's done!
