Bought DS (almost 7) first pair of lace up school shoes but try as I might to teach him to tie them he can't get it!! He went back to school yesterday and the teacher had to tie them for him twice (she said she won't do it again which is fair enough) and when I picked him up they were undone and he said at playtime they fell off and his socks got wet .
Anyone got any good tips on how to teach him to tie them? Have tried using a piece of string to practice on. Don't want to have to go out and buy another pair with velcro. What age are they normally able to do this by??
