How much are other pre-schools paying for hall hire?

Hi

I'm one of the many who have just become pre-school treasurers, and we're having debates over how much we should be paying for the hall we use.

I know it will vary loads by where the hall is etc, but it would be good to get a vague idea!

We currently get our building for free but in the new year are looking at moving to premises at the local primary school and they want £4-5 per hour.

Thank you for letting me know. It sounds quite reasonable if it's for one morning doesn't it? times a day abount by 5 and 38 and it adds up though.

Are you doing lots of fundraising then?

We pay £12 per session. Started off at £8, was doubled to £16, we moaned and eventually got it reduced to £12.

We pay 12 for a morning session and 15 for an afternoon session.
And yes ten sessions a week does add up but we have a good attendance which covers hall hire and wages, so only really need to fundraise for new equipment

It feels like we're fundraising just to cover the essentials.
