How many minutes/hours a day do you (or another parent/adult carer) read to your 4 year old?

Just wondering really. DD has two languages (English and French) and we really ought to be reading to her in each language both days.

Every day.

ds is 3.7. me 10 mins. cm probably about 10 mins (she speaks french to him sometimes), pre school 15 mins.

i used to read to him about 20mins before he went to pre-school, he seems to have a saturation point for it and has started to read books by himself instead.

dd1 is 4.3 and preschool reads to her 15mins and I read about 15mins before bedtime occasionally more in the day

We read DD's school reading book through each night before bed as many times as she wishes - usually 2 - 3times. We also read whenever she asks but this is quite rarely a book for DD its usually road signs, lorry sides, etc.

We read her a bed time story every night (say a charlie and lola book). They read every day at nursery school as well (not sure for how long).
We usually try to read them something in English, as a way of keeping it up...

Probably spend about 20-30 mins reading through various favourite books most days and then her reading book for 5-10 mins everyday.

Maybe 20 mins a day for 4yo dd. But she gets read to at preschool too, and her sisters will also read to her. I'm trying to get them to "play schools" with her and teach her to read and write.

At least 20 minutes a day at home. Sometimes more than an hour. She likes being read to!

We have books in both languages around but when I get to choose it is always in English.

I don't know how much she is read to at school.

just 20 mins with 8 year old (she reads to herself alot now)

20-30 mins in total with 2.5 year old.
