Do your DCs thank the Lord at nursery?

DD, 2.5 attends a Montessori nursery, 2 mornings a week.

I've just picked her up and popped her straight up to bed, and after a rousing chorus of Baa Baa Black Sheep, our usual bedtime song, she placed her hands together as though in prayer, and sang:

'Thank you for the birds and bees, thank you for every thing. Amen.'

I asked her where she sinds that, and she said at nursery.

It's not a church-run nursery, and I can see form the diet sheet on the pin board that there are children of lots of different faiths at the nursery, so is this usual?

I don't mind, not at all, but was really surprised. Would like to know others' thoughts.

If it is not a church-or-religious nursery, I would go and Have A Word.

It could be that they said "This is what Christians do" as part of some RE.

Mine used to sing a form of grace before their lunch. I didn't mind either.

I've worked in several private nurserys and the children always prayed to God before lunch.
