Would changing nursery mid-term affect 30 hours funding allocation?

Hello, I just had a quick question regarding the 30 hours funding.
My daughter is currently attending a preschool, but she has also been offered a place at a school nursery, which also provides the 30 hours. The difficulty is that my son will be in Year 1 at a different school, so I would like to trial how manageable this arrangement will be.
The nursery has mentioned a 4-week notice period. If after a few weeks I find that it is not manageable and decide to move her back to her current preschool, would there be any issues with the funding?
Would the funding already be allocated for the full term (3 months), given that reconfirmation happens every 3 months?

I think the funding is given per term and you can’t ask for it back but I could be wrong.

Funding is given per term and the date is in advance of that term. If you change in the middle you can’t transfer the funding until the next term.

So would that mean I’ll have to wait until January, to be able to transfer my daughter back?

if you move mid term the funding stays with the original nursery so you won’t get the funding at the new nursery for the remainder of that term and may be able to transfer back to the original nursery if you change your mind within the term as they will still be getting your funding for the full term. Check with both institutions finance people to see the impact on funding and what you may have to pay. The key point is that if you trial mid term you may lose out financially during that term.
