can I save my play dough ??

Hi, does anyone know if there's a way of refreshing play dough after it's gone a bit crumberlie ? or will I have to just through it away?
I've heared that you cam make it yourself too, so if anyone knows how please let me know.

to revive playdough add some oil, a little at a time and just keep kneading. the warmth from your hands will soften it also.

Its really easy to make playdough in the microwave. I don't have the recipe at hand at the moment (sorry ) am at work !! I do remember that its flour, water, oil and cream of tartar powder and food colouring to jazz it up !! Unsure of the quantities.

Here's an MN recipe that I'd saved

To make it in the microwave, mix all ingrediants and then heat a minute at a time and then kneadreally well whilst cooling.

I love play dough and made some with my daughter just this morning. Our recipe is a cooked one-it lasts for ages in a lidded plastic tub. We use 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, 1 teaspoon Cream of tatar, 2 tablespoons of oil and 2 cups of water plus food colouring. Stir over a gentle heat. It takes about 5 minutes and when it starts to stick to pan stir really hard and it all comes together. We put essential oils in for lovely smells, glitter, sequins, use the plastic tools/bug bits you can get at ELC, print with leaves, wood, pebbles, beads, fabric, feathers, buttons, pine cones, sticks. Make mini 'sweets' with mini cutters...ok enough!!
