hello so my daughter is 5 in p1.
The first week of school she missed the first week as we were in my home country. And it was agreed with school principal in advance.
After this she was off another week with a bad dose of ear throat infection.
And some days off for croup and norovirus.
Her attendance in school has fall below 85% and they have sent a letter saying that I will need to go to a meeting with the education welfare.
At all those times that my daughter has missed school I have let them know.
Now I'm feeling anxious what this mean for us ? And how can I keep her off school if she is ever sick again. We are based in Northern Ireland and unfortunately over the winter there is a lot of sickness going around.
I find this such extreme measure. I'm a parent that ofc care about consistency and send them to school im just at loss here and want know what this means for us. And how u as parent would handle this
