Preschool communication boo

Hi, I’m not originally from the UK and my daughter’s preschool has given us a communication book. I’m not quite sure what should be written in it or what the general expectations are. Do you have any advice on how to use it effectively? Should I be adding updates about her at home, or is it more about what happens at school? Any guidance would be appreciated!

I would ask the school staff, as this seems quite outdated now, as most places use apps or other electronic communication.
A book will rely on someone at Pre-school having time to get each book out of the bag to see if there is any note from you each day.
