Where can I get a list of preschools/playgroups in my area?

I want to get DD into a preschool or playgroup for a few mornings a week. Does anyone have any good links for school listings? Can be state or independent and she'll be 2 in May.

Have a look on your county/boroughs Child Information Service (CIS) - should be on their website

what about your local authority website?

Also look at ofsted www.ofsted.gov.uk

You could go to your local library too - ours has leaflets and listings.

Try www.childcarelink.gov.uk/.

Also, our local libraries have a file with childcare info and other stuff like local farms or kids' clubs.
