Hello,
Hope this is okay place to post, my son just got invited to a girls party who is about to be 5, the rest of the parties we've been to have been boys which I found a lot easier to buy for! Can anyone recommend a suitable gift for that age please? Budget of £15-20
Thank you for any advice x

For that budget you could get:

a lovely craft set (with NO glitter!)

a lovely bag (look at next)

a doll

a nice hat/gloves/scarf set (with gift receipt in case they want to exchange)

a fun board game

People will soon tell you that budget is too much, which might be true! But I usually end up spending about £15. Some may say put £5 or £10 in a card, but I always think its nicer for a child to take a gift and for the birthday child to open a gift.

Kinetic sand set

When my DD was 5 (she’s the grand old age of 7 now!), she’d have loved anything Polly Pocket, or any kind of craft set, or any sort of little figures - Sylvanian families etc.

I’m afraid I’m going against the suggestions above for a bag or hat/scarf - this would have left my DD completely cold. But everyone is different

My youngest is 5 soon. She loves those mini verse surprise balls with the tiny food/plants etc

some other ideas:

dressing up outfit (even more handy if it’s a book character as wbd coming up - mum will love you!)

lego junior

hexbug nano

My 4 year old loves polly pocket and everything craft related.

Squishmallows are super popular
or echo craft stuff
I loved it when people bought books for DD, even slightly “older” books.
More for the warmer months, but stomp rockets were always well received too!
