Where can I buy playgroup style painting paper from?

At playgroups, my 2 yr old DD regularly paints and at most of the playgroups, they use easels with a thick, not smooth paper. I think it must be on a roll as the edges are usually jagged.

Does anyone know where I can buy this from? I specifically need large sizes to cover an easel board. The paper roll paper is too thin for 2yr old daubing paint on!

PS. Can't ask at Playgroup 'cos we're not going for 2 weeks (hence the need to paint at home!)

I use lining paper (for white) £1 a roll from Wilko's.
For coloured - sugar paper, ELC or craft shops - as per franny's post.
