Am I being ridiculous - do you think it is possible to be "bullied" at preschool?

DD has bad exczema on her face and in the last few weeks has really been upset when getting ready and going to nursery (crying, "don't want to go" etc etc"). Anyway the staff have noticed she has been upset and its been flagged as an issue. She keeps saying that these two particular boys are "not very nice" and "shouldn't hit" and tonight, without prompting from me, said that they were always talking about "whats on my face".

Am not going to make a big fuss or anything, and she can easily swap sessions to when they don't attend but I wanted to canvass the MN jury.

sounds very reasonable to go and discuss this - i have no idea if it's bullying, but she's upset and they need to be told not to do it!

Personally I wouldn't use the term 'bullying' to refer to anything going on at pre-school.

That's not to say it's in any way right or fair, or that it doesn't need dealing with. I just think referring to 3 and 4 yr-olds as 'bullies' is not going to be helpful to anyone, and rather confuses the issue wrt to behaviour that is labelled 'bullying' amongst teenagers.
