My 3 children have all been to Broadhurst Prep school in South Hampstead. The youngest is still there, in the second year, and my older two went on to NLCS and The Hall.
Our children all loved being at Broadhurst and they had the very best start to their education.
In our view, the school is special in the way that it is both extremely nurturing and at the same time the children are genuinely learning new skills and in a positive way that is focused on their development needs. This is thanks to the excellent teachers and the outstanding leadership of the headmistress, Mrs Sylvester, who knows each of the children well, and is highly professional, supportive and warm.
We also believe that another reason our children felt so comfortable and happy to go to Broadhurst is because it is in a residential type building which feels warm, familiar and fun to them. The classrooms are all carefully decorated with their work and they feel inviting for the children. It is also great that the class sizes are small and so the children all know each other well and get lots of 1:1 attention.
