North Bridge House Hampstead

Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone has any recent experience of North Bridge House? My daughter is currently in a local state school but is struggling with the social side of things as she's a July birthday and still quite young for her age. The fees are expensive for NBH - lots of sacrifices will need to be made to go there which we don't mind if we are truly investing in her future but we don't want to invest so much if the quality of education and experience isn't worth it. Any advice would be appreciated.

My cousin is there age 14 and loves it. Was unsettled in a previous school and is doing well both academically and socially

I have some friends who are happy at NBH but others say quality declines as the children progress… how long would you want your daughter to stay there, are 7+ and 11+ on the table? In case you’re looking at that area, surely there are other places too which are worth considering.

NBH was by far the worst school my daughter has ever gone to! Awful pastoral care, awful socially with terrible peer pressure. I hope you didn’t make that huge financial jump. My daughter was there for one year and I saw her confidence dwindle into nothing. 20 boys to 6 girls in the class and a terrible environment.
only plus is that the teachers are really good. And she did well academically. But everything around it suffered. She’s now in a different private school and it’s only been a week since school start and I see a world of difference in her. So much better which confirms even more than NBH was the problem all along. And god forbid you need anything from reception….. good luck getting it
